A poem by Emily Craig

My room mirrors the inside of my head –

An utter mess.

Stacks and stacks of folders,

Line a storage cabinet –

Ones you find in office buildings.

Huge filing cabinets –

Hold my inner, most deepest thoughts.

They are locked with a key,

No one else can access them –

But me.

Only I hold the key

To my memories and knowledge.

Only I –

Can be me.
